Alan Pope

The author Alan Pope has written and published poetry since 1975, the year his first poem was published. Since then he published several dozen pieces in journals and other small press publications. He received the Mary Josephine Lusk award and honorable mention for the Louise Bogan award in 1976. In 1978 he recieved the Eleanor McPhaul Award and recieved a grant from the National Endowment of the Humanities in 1978. Shortly thereafter he stopped submitting poetry for publication although he continued to write.
